    In this expansion, step into the boots of Superman, the Last Son of Krypton, or Lex Luthor, the genius industrialist determined to prove that humanity doesn't need a savior. Bring their legendary rivalry to life in Brave & Bold, the cinematic superhero combat game where strategic bag-building meets high-stakes showdowns. Each player assembles a personalized arsenal filled with abilities, attacks, defenses and signature tech or powers.

    How to Play

    Players will simultaneously progress through the Watchtower, Preparation and Combat Phases as they prepare their turn, draw tokens from their arsenal, allocate tokens to their player board and activate abilities to deal damage and unlock special abilities and bonuses.
    After combat has concluded, each player is given a chance to Resupply, Rebalance and Reload their bag. Play continues until one player is the last one standing.

    Superman was the first character we designed, and in many ways, the most important. He had to be strong. He had to hit hard. There was no version of Brave & Bold where Superman felt anything less than powerful. He’s a great character to start learning the flow of the game.

    For Lex Luthor, we went classic Lex, green and purple warsuit, a product of focus and always chasing more power. Lex doesn’t win by hitting harder. He wins by knowing what’s coming next—and shaping every decision around that knowledge. He pressures opponents through timing, information, and carefully constructed combinations that reward patience and precision.

    Each character set contains the player board, punchboard tokens, wooden ability markers, a velvet bag, challenge cards, a character ability card, helper card and component list.

    Brave & Bold is scheduled for retail release on 4 September 2026.
    The first publicly available product will be sold at Gen Con 2026. The best way to secure these advanced copies is to register for one of the learn-to-play events where you will be taught the basics of the game, introduced to characters and be given a copy to take with you.

    Bag building games are played with a small set of tokens in a bag, which you draw to activate different game effects. As the game progresses you earn and add new tokens, so every draw from the bag becomes more powerful and more strategic over time.
    In Brave & Bold you will draw from your bag, activate bonuses to earn resources to purchase new tokens, trigger abilities and try to deliver more damage each turn than your opponents.
